What is Discover Homestead: Winter Wonderland Experience?
Discover Homestead: Winter Wonderland Experience is a 60-day holiday celebration featuring a real outdoor ice rink in Downtown Homestead. From November 22, 2025, through January 18, 2026, guests can skate under the stars, enjoy festive treats, and experience themed nights and family-friendly entertainment—all in the heart of South Florida.
Where is the event located?
The event takes place at Losner Park, located at 104 N Krome Ave, Homestead, FL 33030—right in the center of Downtown Homestead.
When is the ice rink open?
The rink operates from November 22, 2025, to January 18, 2026, with session times and hours of operation varying by date.
How long is each skating session?
Each session lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, which includes check-in and skate fitting time.
When should I arrive for my session?
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled skate time to allow for check-in and skate fitting.
Is this real ice?
Yes! It’s real ice. Ice-America’s aluminum floor system can quickly adjust to sudden temperature spikes while maintaining real ice, even in outdoor temperatures up to 90°F.
Do I need to wear socks for skating?
Yes, socks are required for skate rentals. If you forget to bring your own, socks are available for purchase on-site for $5.
Do you provide helmets?
Yes, we offer a limited number of helmets at no charge in sizes ranging from XS Youth to XL Adult. Helmets are highly recommended for small children and encouraged for all skaters. You may also bring your own helmet.
Do you sell gloves?
No, However we highly recommend wearing gloves for warmth and safety.
Can I bring my own ice skates?
Absolutely! You may bring your own skates, but please note that there is no discount on ticket prices for using personal skates.
Is there an age minimum to skate?
- Yes, skaters must be at least 4 years old or fit into a size 8C to participate.
Do you offer figure skates or hockey skates?
Yes, both figure skates and hockey skates are available.
What size skates do you have?
We offer full sizes from 8 Youth through 15 Adult, with a limited number of half sizes available.
Do you offer skating aids?
Yes, skating aids are available on a first-come, first-served basis, provided at no cost thanks to the generous support of our elected official sponsors.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are not permitted in the ice rink area for safety reasons—skates can be dangerous for paws. However, service dogs are allowed.
How much are tickets?
- General Admission (Ages 14–99): $22 (includes skate rental)
- Youth (Ages 4-13): $11 (includes skate rental
Are there any discounts available?
Yes! Discover Homestead: Winter Wonderland Experience offers several ways to save on tickets:
- Early Bird Discount: Enjoy 15% off when you purchase tickets online between October 27 and November 11.
- Military & City of Homestead Employees: Receive 10% off tickets, available both online and at walk-up.
- Homestead Residents: $11 (must show proof of residency)
- Family 4-Pack: $70 – Includes 4 Ice Skating Tickets
- Small Groups (10–20 people): Get $2 off group tickets when purchasing online.
- Large Groups (21+ people): Email [email protected] for special pricing.
How can I purchase tickets?
Tickets are available online and on-site through SimpleTix beginning November 3, 2025.

Can I buy merchandise at the event?
Yes! Winter Wonderland merchandise will be available for purchase on-site.
Is parking available?
Yes. Free street parking is available around Downtown Homestead.
- Paid parking is available at Homestead Station (4 S Krome Ave, Homestead, FL 33030).
What if I miss my skate session?
If you miss your scheduled session, you may reschedule for another available date and time, but refunds are not provided for no-shows.
Are refunds available?
Refunds are not available.
Is the event family-friendly?
Yes! Discover Homestead: Winter Wonderland Experience is designed for all ages with themed nights, music, food, and family fun.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes.
All skaters must complete a waiver before their session. Save time by filling it out online before arriving. You only need to sign the waiver once for the entire season.
Will there be food and drinks?
Yes! Food trucks and nearby local restaurants will offer a variety of delicious options for guests throughout the event.
